OPPORTUNITY
An opportunity exists in FPI Security Calgary, AB, Canada office for a highly motivated Security Guard, to join our growing team. We are actively looking for a Security Guard position.
In this role, you will be responsible to operate & engage as a trained security guard/professional under the supervision of your supervisor ensuring security of People, Information & Property.
Understanding and applying applicable industry and government regulations, contracts, and requirements. This role is also responsible for creating a secure awareness program and implementing it FPI Security.
Stakeholder management, coordination, communication is required soft skills towards developing and maintaining protocol provided by the supervisor.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducting proactive security patrols of people, information, and property, monitoring for suspicious or criminal behavior, doing foot patrol and vehicle-based patrols.
- Collaborative engagement, reporting any suspicious behaviors noted on site to dispatch, security management, or emergency responders as needed.
- To provide a safe & secure environment, A security guard need to collaboratively work with various security departments and local emergency responders (police, firefighters, and ambulance).
- For Patrolling FPI will provide a vehicle with GPS tracking systems.
- You will be responsible to communicate and coordinate with management regarding scheduling, staffing, equipment, record keeping, and related matters, to ensure smooth delivery of services
- Working in collaboration with Company's IT department to oversee the property's security surveillance systems, emergency responses and communication programs and enhanced security technological industry advances.
- Respond to critical incidents by following company protocols for fast, proactive response.
- Prepare incident reports and support investigation of security issues as required.
- Perform hands-on security duties and provide back-up support in cases of unscheduled security guard absences.
- Any other duties as required.
CAPABILITIES AND CREDENTIALS
- Minimum of 0-2 years of relevant experience, at the same time combination of high affinity training High School education (post-secondary is preferred)
- Must have active Security Services and Investigation Act (SSIA) License.
- Must have communication skills to prepare reports, day to day communications, presentation skills, & public speaking.
- Must be of good character and be one who acts in a lawful and ethical manner.
- First Aid and CPR Training is asset.
- Have a valid class 5 driver’s license
- preserves certification is an asset.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Works in regular office hours or shifts as required.
- Position requires flexibility to provide appropriate support and direction to a 24 hour a day 7 day a week working team.
